Author Rev. Kola Ewuosho on 29th July, 2008. 03:26 Jesus says in Matthew 9:37 that the harvest is plentiful and the laborers are few. We are instructed to pray the Lord of the harvest to send laborers into His harvest in verse 38. I was in an apostolic conference where the three types or three dimensions of the harvest and the laborers were excellently expounded and it brought so much understanding to me. The first dimension of the harvest is the direct sowing and reaping of the Word. That is where we are focusing today. May we all be faithful laborers for our King? The harvest I am interested in is the harvest of souls into the Kingdom of God. We need to develop ourselves in this dimension of harvest so many people will come into the Kingdom of God. The harvest of souls becomes necessary when we think of the sacrifice of love that took Jesus to the cross. Many are weary and scattered like sheep without a shepherd and God wants willing laborers to go gather His sheep unto Him. There are many benefits: He that winneth souls is wise. There is wisdom available to soul winners. Your wisdom potentials are developed and released, as you become a soul winner. The value of one soul outweighs the wealth of this world in God’s economy so if He says he that reaps receives wages, then God's blessings rest on soul winners: John 4:36 and Rev. 22:12. In Dan12: 3, Soul Winners will shine like stars forever. We should be willing to go because the enemy is out to catch people through his deceptive ploys. Satan's agents are willing to go and they are sowing the wrong seeds around. See Matt.24: 3-14. We need to take full responsibility for world evangelism. A Great Commitment to the Great Commission produces a great Church. People are hungry for God but they are tired of religion. We need to believe in the power of God’s Word to bring about positive changes in the lives of people. We are empowered by the Holy Spirit to bring the full salvation to people as recorded in Mark 16:15-18 and Matt. 28:18-20. Every one who believes should go, no one is to be left out. In Romans 10:13-17 we read about the need to go. How will hear if we don?t go? We are to go everywhere starting with our friends. Acts 1:8 gives the early church order, start at home then take it out. Do it with the power of the Holy Spirit. What is the gospel of the Kingdom? It is the story of God's Kingdom who planned the provision of our salvation to bring us into a loving submission to the Lordship of Jesus Christ through repentance and believing in Jesus so that we can become citizens of this Kingdom to carry out His purposes here on earth. 2 Cor. 5:17-20 talks about the good news that God was in Christ reconciling us back to Himself not counting our trespasses against us. This is bringing us into a loving relationship of obedience to God through Christ. Our covenant relationship starts when we acknowledge our sin and return to the Lord of our lives. God becomes our Father indeed as Jesus is our Lord and Savior. Any one who believes can be saved. This is what we should proclaim to all. Believe in the Lord Jesus, repent of your sins and be saved. Come into a relationship with God by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The real sin that will take people to hell is the sin of not believing in Him whom God sent to be our savior. Let us present this love that God has shown to humanity and give people an opportunity to know God in Christ. Let us be positive and full of faith to do this and watch many come to the Lord. We should then go on to train them in leadership having been delivered and get them to become soul winners and disciple others too. We should not be afraid to lay hands on the sick and expect God to heal and do miracles through us. God bless you. Rev. Kola Ewuosho |
