I believe that there is an ongoing restoration of seeing many souls return to their creator-God. The reason many are not so effective in their witness for Christ can be traced to the quality of the foundation laid for them at the inception of their conversion. As we prepare to give the gospel, the good-news to others, it is necessary to ensure accuracy as well as the right attitude to get the job done. One thing is sure: when we want what God wants for the same purpose for which He wants it, we are sure of the release of His ability in getting results.

We need to have compassion for people. Many are perishing for lack of the knowledge of the truth. Many are scattered like sheep without a shepherd and there are not too many laborers laboring with the Father’s heart to see to it that the harvest comes into the storehouse of God. Some tools are necessary to see effective reaping of the harvest.

Compassion: This is God's love in action. Sympathy is when we identify with a needy person but do nothing about their case, because we lack the resources to help. Compassion is when we identify with the needy but allows the love of God within us to reach out with the power of God to meet the needs. Jesus was always moved with compassion. When we consider the many who have not heard or who have not had the opportunity to hear correctly about what God has done for them in Christ, we let God’s love in us rise up to meet their need for the Gospel. We are to owe no man anything but love. The greatest demonstration of love you can have to humanity is to give God to them. You can be sure of God's wisdom and favor on your life as you step out in obedience.

The Power of the Holy Spirit: We should not only be willing to go; we should be obedient and effective. Acts 1:8 makes it clear that the purpose of receiving the Holy Spirit’s power is to become proof-producers. The enemy lies to us telling us we are shy or timid. Many sincere believers say this to themselves thinking they are telling the truth. It is deception. You have dunamis power at work in you. You shall receive power in action, a mighty force, and a supernatural energy! That is the reason you can be an effective witness. The Greek word translated as witness is 'martus'. It is the word from which we get our English word martyr. A martyr is one who can vouch for, guarantee, or prove what he has seen or heard or knows. They are so definite about it that they are willing to lay down their lives if need be. Listen to T.L. Osborn's lesson on Soul winning. "You shall receive virtue, miracle ability, supernatural energy, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you, for a specific purpose: to enable you to give absolute evidence and miraculous proof of my resurrection.

It is this power working in you that will actually demonstrate and exhibit the proof of your testimony so as to verify your claims as with documented credentials. And you are to exhibit this supernatural evidence of my resurrection in your cities and country and unto the inner and hidden parts of the earth "yes, even to the remote and last frontier of civilization".

When you receive the Holy Spirit you have what it takes to back up your claim that Jesus is alive and well.
