God has plans and purposes for all His creation. The human being was designed with the power to choose their words, actions, attitudes and generally their lifestyle. This choice creates the possibility of a loss of God’s original intentions for mankind. All around us are evidence that this choice has been made by many and consequently the plans and purposes of God go largely unfulfilled in the lives of so many people. Unfortunately, many blame God for the things they experience in their lives. They believe that they are victims of the circumstances of their lives. The freedom to choose brings with it the responsibility to face the consequence of the choice made. The laws that govern the functionality of our human life have been put in place by God in His love for us. Our misalignments with His ways expose us to certain consequences and the tendency to blame Him for our experiences only further hardens our hearts towards God. The hardness of our hearts confirms our rebellious nature.

If we take the law of gravity for example, God put it in place for our good. There is a force that brings things down to where they can be stable on the earth, because the earth’s rotation can cause things to keep turning but this law keeps things stable. This is the law responsible for anything that is not supported to fall to the ground. If what falls to the ground is fragile then it gets broken, we feel a sense of loss. What was meant for good has brought about a loss. Whose fault is it? The one who has responsibility for the thing should take care to put it in a place of solid support. Ignorance, carelessness and nonchalant attitude to God’s laws bring the consequences we do not like. Rather than blame God let us begin to take responsibility for our actions so we can learn from God how to better function under His authority.

God is merciful. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to pay the price for our sin. We need no longer to await the consequences of our sins, rather we can fall on his mercy to forgive and His grace will teach us how to live righteous in this sinful world. All of us have gone astray by everyone turning to their selfish ways, but God has laid on Jesus the iniquity of us all. Having come back to him through Christ we still need to learn His spiritual laws and understand His ways so we can come into proper alignment with His Kingdom plans and purposes.

Our fulfilment in life is tied to being fulfilled in doing the will of God and enjoying the expression of the potentials He put in us. His plans unfold as we walk with Him daily. Our maturity is when the image of the Son (Jesus Christ) if formed in us. For that to happen we will undergo the process that will cause His ability in us to bring us to a place of willingness and strength to do His good pleasure. His instrument to get this done is His Word. When His Word comes to us, all that was lost in the past can be restored and all the rebellion in us can be turned around, all the darkness (spiritual ignorance) in us can change, our reconfiguration can be effected to the point where we become partners with God for His plans on earth to be executed. God’s plans unfold to us according to our ability in God to handle the different phases of His plans.

There is a price to pay for the things of God to happen on earth. We have the prayer-price, the growing-price, the wisdom-price, all these lead to changes in our focus, motives and eventually our lifestyles. We will mature as we change and better positioned to execute the plans. The changes are a function of the quality of knowledge we have and the level of intimacy we cultivate with God. When we love God with all our hearts, and are willing to come under His authority, our understanding of things will become radically different from what it was before. He will show us the operations of the enemy of our souls, Satan. We can then know who to blame and how to draw closer to the One who loves us, enjoy His grace and many blessings. Then we can declare war on the one who seeks to steal kill and destroy. Rather than be at loggerheads with God, we come into the privileged position of sonship with all His power at our disposal and His wisdom available to us. The ones who know their God shall be strong and do great exploits. The privilege is ours to use his name in prayers to see the sick healed and things change. Give the right image of God to people and be citizens of His Kingdom representing Him in all aspects of human existence.

Remember, “There is a price to pay and a position to take for the privileges to be enjoyed.” If you are willing to pay the price, welcome to the family of God who are growing into sonship.
